Chicago House Party To Return To Millennium Park For 2017

By on April 25, 2017

House Music comes home to Chicago for a downtown celebration

The home of House Music, we’re smack dab in the middle of it here in Chicago and are proud to have had a part in its history.

For another year of fun in the sun, Chicago will honor house music on May 27th from 2PM to 9PM with a massive celebration downtown at Millennium Park at the Jay Pritzker pavilion.

Throughout the day, DJs and live performances will showcase the various sounds and styles of house music, the musical form born in Chicago that has gone on to revolutionize dance music internationally.

The schedule will be announced soon and more details as they’re made available from the city’s planning office.

For a detailed history of house and how it really happened, visit our sister network WBMX.COM, that’s where House Music was exposed to millions of people on the radio in the form of the mix shows back in the early 1980’s.

WBMX as well as the Hot Mix 5 were honorary inductees into the U.S. Dance Music Hall of Fame back in 2013.
