NOTE: Please note that this is not the LIVE RADIO BROADCAST HEARD ON 102.3 FM over the weekends in the Chicagoland area. This is one of the many channels WBMX.COM offers you to listen to around the clock on the website and in our app.

To listen to “Classic Hits, Throwbacks And More” all weekend long on 102.3 FM where they feature the Saturday Night Live Ain’ No Jive Chicago Dance Party on Saturday Nights at 7PM – CLICK HERE.

You can listen to mixes all the time here, the radio is a different animal, programmed by us here.

It’s the Hot Lunch Mix, Friday Night Jams and Saturday Night Live Ain’ No Jive Chicago Dance Party around the clock on this channel. A channel filled with nothing but mixes from the Hot Mix 5 and others who graced the airwaves on WBMX back in the day.

The original Hot Mix 5 members were assembled by Lee Michaels back in 1981. The DJ team consisted of Mickey Mixin’ Oliver, Farley Jackmaster Funk, Scott Smokin’ Silz, Ralphi The Razz Rosario and Kenny Jammin’ Jason.

Along with them, there were guest mixers including Sal Amato, Jimmy Perna, Alex Childs, Xavier Gold, Fast Eddie, Julian Jumpin’ Perez who’d go on to win the battle of the DJS in 1984 and fill the void left by Scott Smokin’ Silz who left in 1982.

Many of the LIVE mixes you’ll hear on this channel were recorded by fans just like you from back in the day on WBMX AM and FM.

If you have cassettes from back in the day you’d like to submit to us to convert digitally, hit us up! We’ll give you the details on what to do, we’ll convert them for you, turn them into MP3’s and send them all back to you with love.

I love to listen to wbmx.com(102.7). I hope that in the future WBMX.COM will play the mixes of BAD BOY BILL on Friday nights instead of Thursday nights. Don’t get me wrong, D.J. Payback is great but, BAD BOY BILL IS THE BEST mixer the radio has ever had (MY OPINION). Make a poll of the best D.J. ever. That will speak for the audience and,I know that if you make this change it would improve you’re listening audience. I’m one of those people that would agree. He knows how to mix the house music of old and new and knows how to move the crowd. He has heart and SOUL! Please program director, make this change. My name is Rafael Carrera and continue to improve this one and only AWSOME radio station with many FLAYVAS.

Great music, thanks. But it would be excellent to really have a tracklist history of what you’ve played, maybe today, or at least in the last hour.

“Now playing”, and “See what played in the last hour below” only show “Loading” all of the time on any device I use.
