Growing up in the 70’s on the southside of Chicago in the Pilsen area music has always been a factor in my life.(thanks to my dad)

In 78′ my family moved to the Gage Park area. In the summer of 82′ my life was about to change.

Standing outside my friend’s house I heard dance music coming from my buddy’s attic window. His brothers (Charlie Chaz D, Mickey D and John DeLa Mora) were Dj’s praticing for an upcoming party. After showing me the techniques of mixing i was ready to go.

These Dj’s were also a part of my DJ expierence:The Hot Mix Five, Alfie “Swift Kid” Tobias, Dave Negrete, Ritchie Robalino, Tony Mundaca, Nandy Viramontes, Rick Torres, Paul Barreda, Wilson Vega, Sly “Hula Hula” Fox, Martino “Spinnin” Ramos, Diamond Boy Dito, Javier Lebron and Martin “Boogieman” luna.

I had a lot of guest shots throughout the city and even spun with members of the Hot Mix Five. I also cut a record on Housetime Records (a division of Chicago Trax Records) called “A WHITE BOY, A MEXICAN AND AN ENGINEER” by MTS and RDTH. I also produced and mixed a couple of other tracks for Dj Rockin Johnny Jazz.

I won a Battle of the Dj’s in 2006 sponsored by Mr. Peabody Records and also had the chance to play live on WNUR 89.3FM which was the best experience I’ve had being a DJ.

Through the years I have played at various clubs such as: Club Flamingo, Mike T’s, Victor’s, Rick’s of Chicago, Skis, Hedge Hogs, Ritchie’s, Club 63, Rock A B’s (teen club) and Studio 31
